Challenger Publishing is a British publishing house interested in witty mysteries, theatrical fiction, strange little histories and books with enough nerve to knock politely before entering.
We publish character-led fiction with wit, atmosphere and a certain amount of eyebrow. The house taste leans towards locked rooms, rehearsal rooms, local legends, awkward dinners and the kind of plot that keeps a notebook in its inside pocket.
The imprint is currently launching with J. M. Vane and The Last Act Players Mysteries, a series that proves show business can be fatal even before the reviews arrive.
